Terms & conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of Alan Hannah’s website (the “Site”), your relationship with Alan Hannah Ltd(“Alan Hannah”, “we” or “us”) and any products you may purchase from us.

Please read this document carefully as it affects your rights and liabilities under the law.

If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not register for or use the Site.

1 Use of Alan Hannah’s Site

The Site is provided for personal use subject to these Terms and Conditions. By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If do not wish to accept the Terms and Conditions you should stop using this Site.

2 Changes to our terms and conditions

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of the Site. Any changes will be notified to you via a suitable announcement on the Site. The changes will apply to the use of the Site with immediate effect. If you do not wish to accept the revised Terms and Conditions you should not continue to use the Site.

3 Registration on this Site

3.1 To register on our Site you must be over eighteen years of age.

3.2 You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete and you must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details in order that we can communicate with you effectively.

4 Password and security


4.1 When you register to use the Site you will be asked to create a password. In order to prevent fraud, you must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone.

4.2 If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us by contacting info@alanhannah.co.uk immediately.

4.3 If Alan Hannah has reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of the Site, we may require you to change your password or we may suspend your account.

5 Intellectual property

5.1 The content of the Site is protected by copyright, trade marks, database right and other intellectual property rights.

5.2 You may retrieve and display the content of the Site on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Site without prior written permission from Alan Hannah.

6 Prices

6.1 Your order is an offer to buy from us. There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. At the moment that the goods are dispatched, a contract will be made between you and us, and you will be charged for the goods.

6.2 The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out on the Site. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned.

6.3 All prices are expressed inclusive of any value added tax (VAT) payable unless otherwise stated.

6.4 Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of placing your order.

7 Availability of products

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item. (Please note that we may, but shall not be obliged to, attempt to offer you a substitute product should the selected product be unavailable, you will be under no obligation to accept the substitute.)

8 Delivery

8.1 Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form.

8.2 We will deliver your order to the main entrance of the delivery address.

8.3 All goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over.

8.4 Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

9 Descriptions and specifications

We take every care to ensure that the descriptions and specifications of our products are correct at the time of going online. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close likeness, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser or systems you use.

10 The Distance Selling Regulations

We hope you will be happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item, you must first contact us by emailing at info@alanhannah.co.uk  We require all goods to be returned to us within a further 7 business days from their original delivery to you. If you exercise this right all goods must be returned to us in the same condition that they were dispatched in, unused and in their undamaged original packaging.

11 Exchange

In addition to your right of cancellation we will be more than happy to offer you an exchange or, at our option, a refund provided they are returned to us in the same condition that they were dispatched in and in their undamaged original packaging. We cannot exchange or refund the items referred to in the list in Clause 13.4 below.

12 Faulty goods or goods damaged in transit

In the unlikely event that an item delivered to you arrives faulty or damaged in transit please notify us within 48 hours by emailing us at info@alanhannah.co.uk, so that we may arrange a replacement and the return of the faulty goods to rectify the situation.

13 Returns generally

13.1 For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us.

13.2 You may want to:

a) send the goods Special Delivery or obtain a Certificate of Posting, but we regret we cannot refund the charge for the former, the latter being free;

b) obtain sufficient insurance cover.


13.3 You should then return the relevant item to us in secure packaging to Alan Hannah Ltd, unit 18 Riverwalk Business Pk, Riverwalk Rd, Enfield, EN3 7QN

13.4 Please note we are unable to accept exchanges or refunds on the following items (unless they are found to be faulty):

a) pierced jewellery items (e.g. earrings) – due to hygiene reasons, unless found faulty; and

b) made-to-order or bespoke items – those custom made or customised for you (this shall be stated on our Site in the particular item’s full description).

13.5 Any item you return to us should be returned to us in its original condition. If we do not receive the item back from you we may arrange for collection of the item from you at your cost.

14 Cancellation and changes prior to dispatch


You can cancel or change any of your current orders prior to dispatch by contacting info@alanhannah.co.uk

15 Refunds

15.1 When we receive notice of cancellation of your contract for any item, we will refund the price paid by you for that item or at your request, if the item is defective, will repair the item or supply you with a replacement item. We will not refund the delivery charge for sending the item to you unless that item is defective.

15.2 Refunds are made by the same method of payment used to purchase from us. Please allow up to 28 days (from our receipt of your unwanted goods or date of order cancellation) for your refund to appear on your bank or card statement. Orders paid for by debit/credit card are refunded back to the same card. Orders paid for by cheque are refunded by cheque. Orders (or part-orders) paid for by Credit Notes shall be refunded by a replacement Credit Note and will not be redeemed for cash.

16 Your use of Alan Hannah’s web site

16.1 You may not use the Site for any of the following purposes:

16.1.1 commercial use and Alan Hannah reserves the right to refuse orders from businesses or that we consider are for commercial or other non-domestic concerns

16.1.2 disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material or otherwise breaching any laws;

16.1.3 transmitting material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any applicable laws, regulations or code of practice;

16.1.4 interfering with any other person's use or enjoyment of our Site; or

16.1.5 making, transmitting or storing electronic copies of materials protected by copyright without the permission of the owner.

16.2 You will be responsible for our losses and costs resulting from your breach of this clause 11.

17 Availability of the Site

17.1 Although we aim to offer you the best service possible, we make no promise that the services at the Site will meet your requirements. We cannot guarantee that the service will be fault-free. If a fault does occurs you should report it to info@alanhannah.co.uk and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we can.

17.2 Your access to the Site will inevitably be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services; we will try to restore the site as soon as we can.

18 Our right to suspend or cancel your registration

18.1 We may suspend or cancel your registration immediately at our reasonable discretion or if you breach any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

18.2 You can cancel your registration at any time by informing us by email to info@alanhannah.co.uk. If you do so, you must stop using the Site but the suspension or cancellation of your registration and your right to use the Site shall not affect either party's statutory rights or liabilities.

19 Alan Hannah’s liability

19.1 Where our Site provides or links to content from other internet sites or resources, while Alan Hannah tries to ensure that material included on the Site is correct, reputable and of high quality, it does not make any warranties or guarantees in relation to that content. If Alan Hannah is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the Site we will attempt to correct the inaccuracies as soon as we reasonably can.

19.2 If we are in breach of these Terms & Conditions, we will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result to the extent that they are a foreseeable consequence to both of us at the time you make the relevant order. Our liability shall not in any event include business losses such as lost data, lost profits or business interruption.

19.3 This clause 9 shall not limit or affect our liability resulting from any products sold through the Site being found to be unsafe or if something we do negligently causes death or personal injury.

20 Third Party Websites


To assist you, our Site includes links to other web sites or material which are beyond its control; we are not responsible for content on any site outside the Site.

21 Advertising and Sponsorship


The Site may contain advertising and sponsorship; advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Site complies with relevant laws and codes - we will not be responsible to you for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material.

22 The laws of England and Wales


These terms and conditions will be subject to the laws of England and Wales. We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are unhappy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom.

23 International Use


We make no promise that materials on our Site are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom, and accessing the Site from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you choose to access this site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

24 Miscellaneous

24.1 You may not transfer any of your rights under these Terms and Conditions to any other person. We may transfer our rights under these Terms and Conditions to another business where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.

24.2 If you breach these Terms and Conditions and Alan Hannah chooses to ignore this, Alan Hannah will still be entitled to use its rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the Terms and Conditions.

24.3 Alan Hannah shall not be responsible for any breach of these Terms and Conditions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
